PULLED-IN-PLACE FLUTED PLASTER

For this fluted plaster technique, wet plaster is applied directly to the wall and a custom tool is guided in a precise, steady movement until the plaster completes the flute profile. It takes a practiced hand and a certain finesse to keep the pattern of the flutes consistent throughout an entire design when incorporating multiple doorways, arches, and corners.

These plaster flutes can be completely customized to have flute sizes of varying widths, and can be made concave or convex. Additionally, they can be finished with anything from limewash for a matte look, or be polished to any level of sheen.
