SARAH PRINGLE
Sarah Pringle’s artistic journey began with photography, shaped by a family that valued creativity and craftsmanship. She studied photography before discovering bookbinding in art school, where paper, leather, parchment, and gold leaf revealed a lasting fascination with material and handwork.
Over three decades, Sarah has developed expertise in parchment, vellum, and gilding, while also working with patina, water-based pigments, and natural binders. Using these techniques, she creates custom furnishings such as furniture, lamps, folding screens, paintings, and sculptures.
Her work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Vogue Living, House & Garden, and Veranda, and shown at PAD Paris. Drawing inspiration from Zaha Hadid, Isamu Noguchi, landscapes, fashion, and sculpture, she transforms functional forms into works of art.
