BAS RELIEF

Bas  reliefs are cast from a mold that has been made from an original carved  element. This can be done in wax or clay and is usually made by hand,  although it can be carved by CNC machines as well. Bas reliefs are  created in the form of panels on walls or friezes as a sculpted band  that lines the crown of a ceiling.
