BAS RELIEF, ARCHITECTURAL PLASTER, AND ÉGLOMISÉ ELEMENTS AMPLIFY A MIAMI HOME’S WARMTH AND ARTISTIC SOPHISTICATION
Overlooking Biscayne Bay in Miami lies an oasis that marries quiet opulence with whimsical curves and a warm color palette that echoes the surrounding coastal area. In our collaboration with designer Kelly Behun, SuperStrata and our artisans crafted distinct elements that lean into the home’s sculptural aesthetic and mirror it back.
Lisa Stimpson’s hand-etched moon gold leaf églomisé in a herringbone pattern for the bar backsplash harmonizes well with the home’s warm, sandy hues. To bring some of the lush tropical flora inside, Eva Pep designed a plaster bas relief featuring local fauna with bird of paradise flowers and monstera plants in situ on the powder room’s walls and ceiling. In the dressing room, SuperStrata created a dynamic architectural plaster ceiling inspired by Antoni Gaudí that swirls around the overhead light fixture.
