BEVERLY HILLS RESIDENCE
CUSTOM DESIGNED CAST PLASTER LIGHT COVES, MANTLE AND
PLASTER FINISH
Interior designer Alex P. White had the goal of creating character and warmth within this airy Beverly Hills home and collaborated with SuperStrata to craft thoughtful, custom elements to tie the space together. Alex had a vision for the fireplace and engaged Jonas Everets to design the soaring Art Deco inspired cast plaster light coves that complement the travertine base and draw the eye up and around this spacious, two-story “gallery” room. These light coves were designed to hide the bulbs behind the plaster in an elegant way, thus creating a lighting effect that emanates beautifully.
To evoke the feel of a Southern California desert, a pale earth tone Marmorino plaster with limewash paint was applied by SuperStrata artisans. The finish adds texture and creates a beautiful backdrop for the Cherry Bomb light fixture by Lindsey Adelman that appears to climb towards the sky.
